The Jumptown Jam lineup is out of the box, with 4 world-class teachers, 2 big nights of swing, and two days of workshops in two streams so you can get the most out of your weekend.

International guests Kevin St Laurent and Emily Hoffberg (US) join Sarah Farrelly and Anthony Wheaton (Melb) for two days of workshops designed to build your confidence and skills, challenge you, and put a smile on your face!

THE WORKSHOPS:

*SATURDAY and SUNDAY 20-22 February

Four sessions per day in two streams:
Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced

Time: 10.30am sharp! until 4:30pm
Venue: Canberra City Band Auditorium, Canberra Technology Park, 4 Phillip Avenue (building adjacent to carpark at Antill St end)

THE EVENTS:

* JAM NIGHT - Friday 20 February
Who puts the Jam in the Jumptown Jam? Well, that would be YOU! Join us for a fun night of competitions to suit everyone, with Jack and Jill comps in Lindy Hop, Balboa and Blues with a
winner takes all, no holds barred, ultimate Jack and Jill prize for the best lead and follow across ALL categories! No fee to compete, so you have nothing to lose!

There will be plenty of social dancing to be had with interstaters and overseas guests in between the competition rounds as well!

COST: $15 at the door (included in GOLD PASS)
TIME: Doors open at 7.30pm, Comp starts at 9pm
VENUE: St John's Hall, Constitution Avenue, Reid

* FALL BALL AT ALBERT HALL - Saturday 21 February
The Fall Ball is one of the highlights of Canberra's swing calendar and brings together the magic of big band swing and dance performances from the Swing Era - Count Basie, Louis Jordan, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman - they'll all be there
in spirit, raising the roof of Canberra's 1920s Albert Hall.

Featuring swing dance performances from international champions Kevin St Laurent and Emily Hoffberg, and Melbourne darlings Sarah Farrelly and Anthony Wheaton, along with Canberra's growing dance community.

Join in the free class before the ball and join in the fun of swing dancing, or sit back and be transported back to Swing Era Canberra. A great night out for jazz fans and dancers alike.

COST: $30 at the door or $25 pre-paid (included in GOLD PASS)
TIME: Free swing dancing lesson from 7pm, Ball from 8pm to midnight

* AFTERPARTY - Saturday late
A swinging afterparty at McGregor Hall will keep you dancing into the wee hours. Snacks and softdrinks available, BYO other beverages
COST: $5 (included in GOLD PASS)
TIME: midnight to late
VENUE: McGregor Hall, cnr of Marcus Clarke St and Barry Drive (entry from Kingsley St)
